Experience the wines of Bordeaux and Germany
You might think these two regions are different but look more closely and you’ll discover fascinating parallels. They share history, amazing landscapes, culture, culinary passions, and a modern outlook on the wine traditions of old. There is more to these renowned regions than meets the eye: Stunning red wines from Germany. Delicious white wines from Bordeaux. Explore surprising styles, discover unparalleled wine-sipping destinations and dive into our culinary culture. Challenge your perceptions (and your palettes).
Take a virtual trip to these regions with us. Participants will each receive a suitcase for their trip, filled with six bottles of wine. Included with your boarding pass will be one year’s access to SommGeo, so you can travel anywhere you like, all year long.
This series of ten sessions will run from July 13th through November 16th. A small group of professionals will be selected to attend each session. Each session will feature six panelists from producers in Germany and Bordeaux as well as a moderator from SommFoundation (Jay Fletcher, MS or Thomas Price, MS). The sessions are scheduled as follows. Each will start at 11am Pacific and run for two hours:

- Applicants must work and reside in Oregon, California, Nevada, Florida, South Carolina, or Georgia.
- If you are selected to participate, you will be notified 1-2 weeks prior. You must be able to attend the full session.
- This application will be kept open until October 17th, however, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible to have the best possible chance of participating.
