Lewis Cellars Harvest Internship

Lewis Cellars is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working and motivated wine professionals to join the 2022 harvest crew. Start date is August 29th and will run through sometime in November (exact date to be determined, based on harvest season).
This is a paid internship starting at $22/hour, with flexibility if candidate has prior experience. Airfare is not provided, and you will be required to find your own lodging (some initial assistance may be provided by Lewis Cellars). Some meals are provided.
A Day in the Life at Lewis:– Grape sampling and maturity analysis – Fruit receival and processing – Fermentation management including daily monitoring, pumpovers, inoculations and additions, and pressing – Lab analysis of musts, juices, and wines – Cellar operations including barrel filling, racking, topping, and other wine movements – Plenty of cleaning and sanitation Your Contribution to Lewis: – Previous harvest experience is a plus – Solid communication skills and attention to detail – Strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and a positive team-building attitude – Ability to work entire harvest period from late August through November 2022 – Ability to perform physical labor for extended hours, 6 days per week during peak harvest – Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, perform repetitive motions, and work in variable temperatures and weather conditions – Ability to work legally in the United States
