SommFoundation and the Lodi Winegrape Commission are pleased to announce the Lodi Harvest Trip, Sept 13-17th, 2020.
Apply now to participate in a hands-on educational experience in one of the oldest winemaking regions in California. During this interactive trip, you will visit with Lodi growers and winemakers to understand the dynamic relationship between viticulture and winemaking. Depending on the timing of the harvest season, you may have the opportunity to participate in operations, getting your hands dirty harvesting grapes. You will visit and learn about the largest collection of old-vine plantings, as well as the region’s unparalleled diversity of wine grapes. Attendees will come away with a mastery of Lodi’s winegrowing history, its seminal role in the establishment of sustainable practices, as well as a deeper technical knowledge of pairing contemporary style wines and cuisines. You can look forward to vineyard walks, field tastings, blind tastings of single vineyard wines, barrel and tank tastings, delicious meals with winemakers and proprietors, and much more. Airfare, hotel, and meals will be provided.
Candidates must work and reside in the United States or Canada.
Candidates must have passed the Court of Master Sommeliers Certified Exam or its equivalent.
Candidates must currently be working in the wine industry in sales or hospitality fields.
