Join renowned vineyard geologist, Brenna Quigley, five outstanding Monterey County vintners, and SommFoundation on Jan 25th, 2021 at 10am PST, as we explore the varied terroirs and geology of the Monterey AVA. Sixteen professionals will be chosen as recipients of five bottles of wine each from the sponsoring wineries as well as access to SommFoundation’s SommGeo for one year. At conclusion, an online theory competition test will be made available to all participants (including the public) to determine the winners of two $500 scholarships.
Brenna Quigley is committed to thoughtfully applying the science of geology to the world of wine through both education and hands on vineyard investigations. She works with wine professionals in all areas of the trade, from growers in France to importers and buyers in the US, in order to precisely define the most impactful elements of their terroirs in a relevant and approachable manner.
