SommFoundation and Napa Valley Vintners are pleased to announce 2019 Somm Napa Valley, Nov 11th-14th.

23 candidates will be selected to participate. This program invites sommeliers from marquis restaurants to experience the best of Napa Valley. Attendees learn about the unique geography, geology and climate that give Napa Valley its distinctive terroir while also meeting the people and learning about the history behind the wine.

Activities include vintner-led tours of the valley, focused tasting panels and themed meals that offer real facetime with Napa Valley’s winemakers, viticulturists and vintners. The program, which is offered in partnership with SommFoundation, also offers attendees opportunities to hone their professional skills. Attendance is open to qualified individuals working as a sommelier in a fine dining restaurant who have obtained the level of Certified Sommelier or higher through the Court of Master Sommeliers (or its equivalent).

PLEASE NOTE: Attendees MUST arrange their own transport to/from Napa, CA. Airfare & Airport Transfer are NOT provided. Accommodations, transport and all meals during the program will be provided. Attendees must arrive by 4 PM, Nov 11th, and may depart on Thursday, Nov 14th at any time. Deadline to apply: June 23rd, 2019, 5pm PST. International candidates are encouraged to apply- must speak English fluently. Past attendees of a NVV trip are NOT eligible.
