THE ORIGINAL BORDEAUX: GRAVES-SAUTERNES WEBINAR AND ESSAY CONTEST

This event has concluded.

You can watch the recording here.

Join us on July 20th at 10am Pacific/1:00pm Eastern as Jesse Becker, Master Sommelier and Bordeaux Accredited Educator, takes us on a journey through these appellations, with tips on training your staff and engaging consumers.

The appellations of Graves, Pessac-Léognan, Sauternes and Barsac are a region of their own within Bordeaux. At the origins of Bordeaux, the wines from Graves-Sauternes trace the left bank of the Garonne River and are world renowned as a benchmark for noble red varieties, aromatic wines, and the original botrytis sweet wines. The curiosity and innovation of today’s family winemakers has much to offer modern palates, while respecting the region’s heritage. Presented by The SOMM Journal, this webinar will explore the diversity and range of Graves-Sauternes styles as well as the people behind the wines and the latest trends.

At the conclusion of the webinar, an essay prompt will be sent to all attendees. The top two essay authors will be awarded a $500 scholarship.
