BROOKS HARVEST INTERNSHIP

Brooks Winery is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working wine professionals to join the winemaking team for the 2024 harvest. Brooks Winery is a Biodynamic vineyard and winery located in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills where they farm and make Pinot Noir and Riesling, along with numerous other aromatic white varietals, and a bit of Gamay and Syrah. As a member of the team, you will work alongside the winemakers to process around 300 tons of fruit from the estate and other historic vineyards in the Willamette Valley & Columbia Gorge. Harvest will run roughly from Sept 15th-Nov 15th (exact dates depend on the season). A six week commitment is desired, with the possibility of extending work up to eight weeks.

This is a paid position that includes on-site group housing with amazing sunrise views, team lunches prepared by their chef, and access to fresh eggs from the coop and veggies from the garden. Brooks strives to create a collaborative environment where education is prioritized, questions encouraged, and fun is always in the mix.

Core responsibilities include fruit sampling for maturity assessment, daily fermentation management and analysis, fruit sorting, equipment setup, cleaning, assisting with pressing operations, sensory evaluation, and taking turns as winery DJ.

• Able and willing to work long hours, including lots of overtime for the duration of harvest, running from roughly the middle of September to the middle of November

• A valid permit to work in US or must qualify for J1 visa

• A 6 week commitment is desired, with the possibility of extending work up to 8 weeks (seasonally dependent)
